The Capital District Arts in Education Roundtable,
chaired by CASDA, has developed a presentation entitled “Supporting
ALL Students’ Needs”. This presentation depicts compelling evidence
on how arts education supports student learning, social skills and
employability, the connection to the standards, and implementing
guidelines. The multi-media presentation, which can be customized from
15 minutes to one hour in length, is available for any school-related
community group.

Education
Incorporating the arts into
everyday curriculum and activities of the classroom is a beneficial
practice. Come hear, see AND experience the compelling evidence and data
that support there is academic success with the arts. |

Understand the ”Why” of Arts in Education
There is a direct correlation to the New
York State Standards, graduation requirements, Leave No Child
Behind legislation, job related skills and employment
opportunities within arts in education.

There are re$ources for implementation,
partnerships, grants, contacts, professional development and
many successful projects and models from which to choose. |
