Jeffery McLellan, Executive Director
After 36 years in education, Jeff recently retired as Superintendent of the Schalmont School District. He started as a middle school science teacher in
Rochester and then moved to Weedsport, where he taught grades 7-12 science
with a focus on 8th grade physical science and regents level biology. During
his 17 years at Weedsport, he served as Department Chair,
Director of Special Education and Assistant Principal at the Junior-Senior
High School. Jeff spent five years as Middle School Principal in Chittenango
and then moved to the
Baldwinsville Central Schools as Assistant Superintendent for Human
Resources before coming to Schalmont.
Jeff is the immediate past President
of the New York State Association of School Personnel Administrators. He
also sits on the Development and Review Committee for the State Education
Department and National Evaluation Systems, preparing the new assessment for
School Business Leader Certification.
Jeff has taught education
administration courses at SUNY Oswego as a practitioner professor. After
taking a brief, 45-minute retirement, he is excited to be at CASDA, and
looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. |
