Join CASDA Faculty Member David Torres on May 17, from 9-11 a.m., for a special kick-off event for this roundtable coming in the Fall! Participants will discuss effective ways to communicate with outside community service agencies in regard to dealing with chronic absenteeism in their respective communities. Sessions will focus on reducing chronic absenteeism with the corroboration with your County Probation Department, Children’s Services, city and town government, County Family court, and more.

Future topics might include:

  • How to identify the “key players” of each respective agency.

  • Establishing positive relationships with each agency.

  • Developing programs to reduce chronic absenteeism in your schools.

  • Utilizing a team approach with community service agencies in your schools.
