Behavior Management Across All Disciplines will be a fluid, dynamic and interactive workshop where you will learn the triggers that lead students to act out in a variety of settings.

Participants will be placed in the student’s shoes to gain greater insight into the dynamics that lead them to acting out behavior. Several proven techniques will be presented for your “tool backpack.”

Learning Objectives:

This conference will explore with participants the importance of:

  • Explain the difference between a behavioral and collaborative approach to discipline

  •  Identify triggers for challenging behavior for a particular student.

  •  Identify which cognitive skills may be delayed for a particular student.

  • Describe the five steps in this collaborative approach to discipline.

  • Begin implementing some aspects of this approach in the classroom.

  •  Identify the role of the teacher in behavior management.

  •  Consistently implement the strategies and techniques in regular education and special education classrooms for all students.
