This webinar will focus on innovation in the classroom. As a group, we will examine the major trends in classroom innovations that teachers should have surface knowledge of, a route to investigate these innovations, and how they as professionals can begin the implementation phase into their classrooms.
We will be exploring in depth the concepts of a flipped classroom, use and structure of Genius hour, maker spaces, augmented reality, and self directed learning. We will then focus on how to implement these newer concepts in the classroom. Finally, we will discuss resources that teachers can examine to begin their independent professional development through a collegial circle at CASDA.
Engage with innovative approaches to instruction across content areas.
Develop strategies for utilizing the "flipped-classroom" approach to instruction.
Discover tools such as makerspaces and augmented reality to galvanize student learning.
