Competing interests often make the creation of the building schedule a challenging task. Learn how to place your students’ needs at the center of the process to balance priorities and reach school goals.


During this conference you will experience a process of schedule development that you may use with your own team, learn ways to use student data to inform scheduling decisions and consider a wide range of perspectives that impact student learning.

Participants will have the
opportunity to:

  •  Learn a team process approach to elementary schedule design.

  •  Raise awareness of the purposes, considerations and priorities of scheduling.

  •  Understand the ways in which the master schedule design promotes student learning and supports school     and district goals.

  •  Understand how to use student data to match staffing with instructional needs.

  •  Identify change ideas for implementation in your school.

Bring a copy of your current building schedule and an electronic template for your 2018-19 school yar schedule.
