ENL 101 for Administrators: Foundations for Supporting English Language Learners is a comprehensive, research-based 5-hour workshop designed specifically for school and district administrators who support English Language Learners (ELLs). This interactive session provides a foundational understanding of the principles of English as a New Language (ENL) education, including key terminology, legal requirements, program models, the process of second language acquisition, and best practices for inclusive leadership. Administrators will explore strategies for effective collaboration with ENL teachers, equitable scheduling, culturally responsive practices, and data-informed decision-making to support multilingual learners. Participants will leave with actionable tools and a clearer vision for creating a supportive school environment that meets the linguistic and academic needs of ELLs.
