CASDA and the UAlbany School of Education NYKids Program are partnering to offer Capital Region school districts a unique opportunity to leverage a vast body of research, data and case studies identifying the practices of odds-beating schools to spark school improvement. The process will begin with an intensive Elementary and Secondary Teams Summer Institute on July 25 and 26th. During this two-day conference, schools will use a self assessment of their current practices, receive an individualized analysis and engage with research highlighting strategies that support improved opportunity and achievement for all students.
Leadership teams will develop a collaborative planning and implementation process to guide the successful application of these practices and ignite meaningful, lasting school improvement.
Learn to work as a team and build leadership capacity for system improvement.
Compare practices in your school to those in odds-beating schools to identify high leverage change ideas.
Connect data to system improvement goals.
Develop action plans and measures to assess progress.
