Learning from Odds-Beating Schools: A Continuous Improvement Innovation for College and Career Readiness

July 17-18, 2019

8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Price: $350 for Individuals, $300 per person for teams of 4-6

Participants receive 14 hours of CTLE credit

Location: Albany Room, Capital Region BOCES

NYKids, CASDA and Capital Region BOCES will work in collaboration with your school team to achieve better outcomes and support Pre-K-12 College and Career Readiness in your school. Participant teams will:

  • Use NYKids research of odds-beating schools (those achieving success with diverse groups of students) to identify improvement priorities.

  • Use improvement tools to identify root causes for suboptimal outcomes.

  • Identify high-leverage change ideas to integrate into an action plan.

  • Identify measurements to monitor progress.

This school improvement innovation is appropriate for any school and supports required interventions for DCIP and SCEP planning for CSI and TSI Districts/Schools.
