Today, education has become front page news, especially in the wake of a crisis. However, most school administrators have had little to no training when it comes to dealing with the media. This workshop provides superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, athletic directors and others with the skills necessary for successful encounters with the media. You will come away from this workshop with an understanding of the perspective of the media, the time constraints they work within, how and when to protect student confidentiality, and how to tell your story.

Speakers:

Dan Bazile
Reporter, WNYT News Channel 13

Mark McGuire
Executive Sports Editor, The Daily Gazette

Dr. Douglas Huntley
Superintendent of Schools, Queensbury School District
