Participants will explore:

  • How grading impacts student performance and motivation.

  • Why Standards Based Grading is so important.

  • How well your grading system reflects student learning.

  • Effective ways to facilitate district discussion about grading through a series of activities focused on factors that influence grading.

  • Quick fixes for common grading problems.

Session Two: November 15, 2018

Participants will explore:

  • Grading for student growth.

  • Powerful feedback versus testing.

  • Student voice.

  • Grading policy changes.

Session Three: January 8, 2019

Participants will explore:

  • Assessment strategies to measure skills and concepts.

  • Creating standards aligned report cards.

  • Communication strategies, parents, community
