Schools are not isolated from society. They reflect the values and aspirations, challenges and afflictions of their communities. Brave women have come forward to shed much needed light on the harrowing reality of pervasive sexual harassment and discrimination in workplaces of all kinds. Education is not exempt from this reckoning. Schools must create workplace cultures of equity and accountability to ensure that they embody the ideals that they wish to impart upon their students. This webinar will analyze a school's legal obligations in addressing instances of workplace harassment and share best practices for developing a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
Participants will learn:
Legal mandates and standards regarding harassment.
Procedures for reviewing instances of harassment.
Supports for victims of harassment.
Essential characteristics of an inclusive workplace.
