Deborah Baxter
Throughout my high school career, Ms. Baxter has been an excellent resource. She was always available to help plan my high school courses, discuss college admissions, and just talk about life. In the classroom, she knew my limits well enough to push me in ways I haven't been pushed before, yet she never asked for too much. Learning AP Bio from her not only taught me the demand of a college level course, but the endless possibility when a teacher cares about their students.

Laura DiRago
The teacher who had the biggest influence on me was Ms. Dirago. She understood that my class wasn’t a sit still, and be quiet type of group. Instead of shutting down our energy she created projects around it. When we read a book and did a presentation for it she allowed us to make short films for the presentation. She always has coloring sheets set out, and even allowed me to do a puzzle in her class because she knows that many of us need to use our hands to use our minds. On a more personal level she understands my personal life more than most and became someone I could talk to, and she did this for many other students as well.

Dr. Styles is the type of teacher who does not let a student walk into his classroom without them being seen. He is one of the few teachers who takes notice when one of their students is having a bad day and does whatever he can to try to fix it. She introduced me to the world of engineering, and I've found it to be a welcoming, fulfilling, and enjoyable place thanks to the class environment she creates. Creative design projects, group projects, and research presentations simulate conditions reflective of the engineering industry. In certain projects, the multitude of steps in the procedure create uncertainty as to how long it will take to complete, but she is always flexible with projects involving uncertain deadlines which allows for a dynamic learning experience.
