Districts are being asked to “do something about AI” faster than most can build the internal expertise to do it well. Three problems show up again and again:

  • Districts want AI tools tailored to a specific workflow - IEP progress-monitoring language, ENL/multilingual family communication, scheduling, curriculum mapping - but off-the-shelf products are generic, expensive, or not built for that use case.

  • Any AI tool that touches student data has to satisfy Education Law 2-D and the district’s Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security. Most districts don’t have staff who can evaluate a tool against 2-D requirements, let alone build one that is compliant from the start.

  • Districts already run on Google Workspace for Education, and enormous amounts of staff time go into manual, repetitive tasks - data pulls, form routing, roster reconciliation, report generation - that a well-built Apps Script could handle in seconds.

Is your district under pressure to respond to AI, but lacks the in-house capacity to build tools responsibly or automate the routine work that consumes staff time? Let CASDA help fill that gap by offering three connected services:

1. Bespoke AI Tool Development Based on Your Needs

District-specific tools built around real workflows, from ENL/multilingual family communication, to an assistant that helps supervisors draft observation feedback aligned to a district’s evaluation rubric, or a tool that summarizes IEP progress-monitoring data into parent-friendly language. The emphasis throughout is on tools that fit the district’s actual workflow, staffing, and culture.

2. Education Law 2-D Compliant Solutions

Every tool CASDA builds is designed with Ed Law 2-D in mind from the start. We make sure anything we build for you, or recommend you use, works within the data privacy agreements your district already has in place. That means you can adopt new tools without having to renegotiate or change the protections you've already established.

3. Custom Google Apps Script Automation

For districts running Google Workspace for Education, CASDA can build custom Apps Script solutions that automate the routine work consuming staff time. These tools use infrastructure districts already own and pay for, so there is no new licensing cost, and CASDA can hand off documentation and light training so district staff can maintain and adapt the scripts over time.
